Frequently asked questions Is delivery included in the price? Deliver is included in the price of our Sides, Quarters and a la carté orders of at least $225.00, to customers in the Sydney / Canberra corridor area. For orders less than $225.00, a delivery charge of $25.00 will be applicable to customers within 75 kilometers of the farm, and a $45.00 charge for deliveries to the Sydney area. Is there a minimum order value? Due to the administration overhead of handling direct orders, we have a minimum order value of $120.00. How long will beef last in the refrigerator and freezer? Will it lose its flavour being frozen? Beef is generally expected to be good for up to six months if well wrapped and frozen. Vacuum-seal packaging will extend that time and hold the flavour. Can I stage deliveries of a Side or Quarter of beef so that a portion comes now and the rest later? Sorry, no. We have structured the pricing levels based on delivering a whole side or quarter of beef cuts at one time. Some customers pool with family and friends to share the portions between themselves thus reducing the amount each takes at one time. Alternatively you can just purchase the individual cuts a la carté that you need. How long does it take to fill my order? Because you are dealing directly with the farm and not a meat warehouse, delivery time depends on the season and on the demand. The scheduling calendar shows when meat is forecasted to be ready for harvest from the farm. Generally delivery is between two to three weeks from receipt of order. We accept orders up to 4 months in advance . When am I charged for the order? 12.5% of the price of your order will be charged at the time your order is placed. The balance of the order will be charged 15 days prior to the week of delivery to you. Can I spread the payments over a period of time? Yes. At the time of ordering, you can ask that your credit card be charged the balance in two even monthly instalments. The total amount of the purchase may be reserved on your card at the time of deposit. Two instalment payments for the balance after the initial deposit will appear on your statement. The first instalment will be charged 15 days before delivery and the second instalment will be charged 30 days later. If the order is for delivery in 15 days or less from time of ordering, then both the deposit and first instalment will be charged, and the second instalment will follow 30 days later. There is a single per-order surcharge of $45 to cover the administration of this service and will be charged at time of ordering. Do you offer discounts? Yes. It is our desire to establish long-term relationships with our customers. ‘Loyal’ customers receive a 5% (five percent) discount from our website List Price on all orders subsequent to two sides of beef (or equivalent) being purchased over the course of a year. That discount is increased to 10% (ten percent) when the customer again purchases the equivalent of two sides of beef in the subsequent year. Is Landtasia Natural Beef 'certified' organic? Yes, Landtasia Organic Farms is audited and certified by AQIS approved Biological Farmers of Australia as Certified Organic. Our Producer Number is 10878A. The certification process requires that a property can demonstrate its ability over a minimum of 3 years to run an organic agricultural regime before receiving AQIS recognised certification. This certification acknowledges our ability to be independently audited as able to successfully run a certified organic enterprise. Will my order include offal? (Liver, heart and kidneys)No, unless you specifically order them. While these tender meats are less commonly served in these modern days, they still provide a lot of great nutrition. Many fine restaurants around the world prepare delicious dishes with them. Also pets love these meats which provide them with fresh nutrition. How will I know the delivery time won't conflict with my other commitments?Landtasia’s Customer Service Manager will communicate with you to determine a suitable delivery time and location for you given our order preparation schedule and delivery routes. So, you will know before the order is confirmed of the day of delivery. Then three business days before the delivery, we will remind you of the day and time again. Will you deliver to a place other than my home, like my work for example?Only if the other place has refrigeration facilities to receive the order. Your meat will be delivered from a temperature controlled refrigerated delivery truck and it is intended that upon delivery you will put it into your refrigerator or freezer. Health standards require that meat must be refrigerated immediately after transfer. What happens if I am not home when the order is delivered?The order will be returned to cold storage and frozen for a maximum of 7 days. During that time your Customer Service Representative will call to arrange another delivery time. A surcharge will apply for each redelivery attempt. Can I place my order for Landtasia certified organic beef with my local health food shop?Possibly. We are appointing a limited number of select health food shops to be sell our cuts of meat and other produce. The prices at the shops may be different than the prices on our website, due to overheads the shops must account for, such as transport, local storage, and personnel. If your local organic health food shop is not a Landtasia representative, just ask them to contact us. May I visit the farm?Yes, by attending one of our Customer Appreciation Day events. |
